Letters per Meter (approx)
Letters to meter will vary according to number of wide letters – ‘M’, ‘W’, ‘Q’ etc, or narrow letters such as ‘I’. and spacing.
38mm – 23 100mm – 11
50mm – 20 150mm – 8.5
75mm – 14.5 200mm – 5.5
Letter sizing for good appearance, please review the following:
50mm Use Board 100mm or wider (Dressed approx) 95mm
75mm 150mm 140mm
100mm 200mm 190mm
150mm 250mm 240mm
200mm 300mm 290mm
Using for example 75mm letters on 100mm board does not leave sufficient space at the top and bottom and the board looks too full.
The overall heights of letters when a normal size cutter is used are:
50mm = 58mm 150mm = 158mm
75mm = 82mm 200mm = 230mm
100mm = 116mm
Letter height shown above is nominal and will vary according to width of cut.
These sizes can be varied by using a smaller or larger cutter. Our signs are produced with round grooves, however, square or ‘V’ grooves are available if requested.
